BPW projects assist women to:

Enter and re-enter the workforce
Start up and advance their business or profession
Protect their rights
Overcome their limitations
Create a nurturing environment in work, education, health for women development

Our founder, then Dr. Marjorie Bean while on a round-the-world tour, met an Australian woman who was a member of the Sydney, New South Wales BPW club. Their headquarters was in London, England. Dame Marjorie Bean was impressed by the group, thus our journey began.

BPW Bermuda has been instrumental in the establishment of the Physical Abuse Centre and the reform in both the Immigration and Rape Statutes over the years in Bermuda. Further the Association has established a scholarship fund and has provided financial assistance to qualified young applicants. The Association has advocated the establishment of nurseries in some of the major exempt companies in Bermuda. Throughout its existence the Association has conducted leadership seminars and workshops.
